Nokia to launch first windows phone by last week of October

                           

Microsoft has confirmed that Nokia would be launching its first Windows Phone device next week, tying in with expectations of the first Nokia Windows Phone being introduced to the world at the Nokia World event beginning on the 26th of October. Also expected on a similar timescale is the retail availability of the first Windows Phone 7.5 Mango devices from Samsung.

Andy Lees, the head of Microsoft’s Windows Phone division, spoke about how Nokia would help Microsoft and Windows Phone 7 get a foot in the smartphone market.
