New and Improved Task Manager in Windows 8

If you’re Windows user, than you probably know that Windows 8 has some of the new features such as the new and redesigned boot process and ability to log in with your Windows Live ID. However, in addition to these features, we also have to mention that Windows Task Manages has been improved as well.

During the years, Task Manager was filled with all sorts of information such as the list all active applications, processes and services, but that list was confusing to some users, therefore, Microsoft decided to simplify it a bit. Now, Task Manager is comprised of list of active applications, so you can easily end them with a single click. However, if you want to find out which process is taking most of your memory, you can click on more details button that will show you the list of all active applications and processes along with the CPU, memory, hard drive and network usage next to each process. That way you can find application or a process that takes most of your resources and easily shut it down.

Turn anything into touch screen using omnitouch

Touchscreens are rather popular nowadays, as well as motion control devices such as Kinect, but what do you get when you combine those two technologies into one?

Microsoft and the Carnegie Mellon Human Computer Interaction Institute have decided to team up, and they have made a new device called OmniTouch that can turn any surface into a touchscreen. OmniTouch is a device comprised out of picoprojector and a 3D scanner similar to the Kinect, and in order to use it, you have to wear it on your shoulder. This device is capable of tracking your finger position in air, and it can detect whenever you press a “button” on any surface. We also have to mention that OmniTouch comes with a multitouch user interface that works with any surface such as walls, tables, or even your hands.
OmniTouch is a revolutionary device that easily turns any surface in touchscreen, but we doubt that we’ll see OmniTouch in stores anytime soon.

Mirror Keyboard

The Mirrored keyboard is possible as the reflective surface is essentially one big capacitive touch panel. Though you may not hear any clickity-click of the keys, it has haptic feedback to give you a little vibration when you hit the keys.
One of the best parts is the easy clean option. All the user has to do is give it a good wipe, and it is clean. No more dust getting caught in between the keys anymore!
Now for the price. The Cool Leaf is about $318, and will be on sale in Japan for about $318. The Minebea Cool Leaf keyboard is only available in a Japanese variant and only works with a Windows computer, but it will be released with an English, German, French, and Italian layout later in the summer.

Google Docs for Android

What is it?

Google Docs, Free, AndroidThe app, long anticipated by Android fans, does what the browser version does for the most part. However! Google decided to keep all the creating, editing and collaborating tied to the mobile web app. So when you want to edit one of your documents, you'll have to use the online mobile editor (which is built within the native app). Which is good because the changes you make will be shown in real-time (crucial for your collaborators) but also bad because you'll need an Internet connection to edit new documents (and like we said, nothing beats a native app).
So Google Docs for Android actually turns out to be more like a document manager than a solid word processor. You can search through all your documents, share the docs with contacts and upload and convert files to the Google Docs format. Which isn't bad! But it's not exactly the Google Docs app we've been waiting for.
Awesomely though, you can use the Google Docs app as an OCR reader. Just fire up the app, click new document, select 'Document from Photo' and snap a picture of what you want to bring over to Google Docs. This feature turn photos with text into editable Google documents

MSI releases new CX640 and CR640 notebooks

MSI has just announced that they will be introducing a couple of mainstream notebooks, namely the CX640 and CR640 models that will arrive at the doorsteps of online retailers in North America. These two will come in the 15.6” form factor, where you will find specifications starting from the Intel Core i3-2310M Processor with the NVIDIA GeForce GT 520M with Optimus technology powering the CX640′s innards, although there is always the option to go for something of lesser power – Intel’s HD 3000 Graphics chipset instead in the CR640.

The silver colored CX640-071US is slated to retail from $679.99 upwards, while the black CR640-035US has been slapped with a $629.99 price tag for those who are interested, and regardless of which model you purchase, they’re enough for general school or work use, although gamers might want to look into the former model instead of the latter due to the presence of a dedicated video card.
In order to keep up with the times, MSI will also throw in 4GB of system memory and 500GB hard drives in both models. Not only that, the elegantly designed notebooks will ship with a bunch of other features such as worry free one-touch back-up and restore with MSI’s Time Stamp technology, where a single touch of the Time Stamp button will put your mind at rest where crashes, viruses, and data loss are concerned.
Integrated extra hard drive protection is also thrown into the mix by an engineering move to change the position of the C Series’ hard drive to the middle of the chassis, while keeping it surrounded by a unique housing that will do its bit in protecting your data from the occasional drop or shock.
Apart from that, both the MSI CR640 and CX640 will also sport Fast Boot technology, letting the unit power up approximately two times faster compared to its rivals in the market. Data transfer is also a whole lot speedier now with USB 3.0 connectivity, so make sure you have a USB 3.0 hard drive or compatible data storage device if you want to take advantage of that kind of speed.

Awesomely cool Nokia X7

Nokia X7

Nokia’s market share when it comes to cell phones and smartphones might be declining at an alarming rate (the huge war over the smartphone arena has certainly heated up, with so many players entering the fray, and nobody giving Symbian any love), but that doesn’t mean the Finnish cell phone manufacturer is throwing in the towel. No sir, in fact, they have just announced their every intention of staying till the end with the Nokia X7′s announcement.
The Nokia X7 will come in a candybar form factor with a generous amount of footprint dedicated to its touchscreen display so that it will be able to keep up with the times (and the Joneses, in terms of physical design anyways). I think that this closely resembles that of the Sony Ericsson Xperia range, but that is just a personal opinion – what do you think? More on the Nokia X7 in the extended post.
The Nokia X7 was specially constructed for entertainment purposes as you can tell by its screen size, and when we say entertainment, we also mean media that you have thought up of yourself – all original. With its 8-megapixel full focus camera (that seems to be the norm these days), it can deliver 720p video recording as well as a dual LED flash to help you take better photos in low light or dark conditions.
Don’t worry about making sure there is enough memory right out of the box – the Nokia X7 will ship with a 8GB memory card pre-installed, and if that is maxed out, you can always temporarily fall back on the 350MB built-in operating memory. Of course, who are we to stop you from fitting in your very own 32GB microsDHC memory card if the need arises?
Measuring 119.7 x 62.8 x 11.9mm (thinner at the edges), the Nokia X7 will tip the scales at 146 grams, where you will be able to enjoy 2G/3G network connectivity and 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi support. Nice to know that Nokia has stuck to the standard 3.5mm audio connector for headphones which is what every good cell phone manufacturer should do. With a 1200mAH battery that has been rated for up to 450 hours of standby and 4.5 hours talktime on a 3G network, this seems to be quite the entertainment powerhouse. Too bad there isn’t 3D support on this, it would have certainly set it apart from the rest of the crowd.
Out in Q2 later this year, the Nokia X7 is tipped to arrive in Europe for €380 prior to taxes and subsidies.

Google Two Step Verification

Hello guyz this post is about new feature of google which is two step verification procedure . Now lets go into the topic

Google had previously announced the new 2-step verification for Google apps users. The same is now being rolled out to all the Google account users. The 2-step verification would make your Google account more secure by verifying you are the real owner of the account that you are trying to access. You can verify your authentication by using a smartphone, or via a SMS text code that you receive similar to how you do it while making online banking transactions or even you could use a landline to verify your identity through a voice call in case you don’t have a mobile phone with you.

How To Enable 2-Step Verification In My Account?

To set up the 2-step verification, login to your Google account and navigate to the Manage Account page, and if the feature has been enabled for you, you should see a “Using 2-step verification” link under Security column in your Personal Settings .

It will take about 10 minutes to setup this feature

Click on the “Set up 2-step verification” to continue and complete the setup process. It involves 3 steps: 1. Setting up your phone 2. Adding backup option when your phone is unavailable 3. Confirm your settings

You may get a doubt here , what if the registries phone is lost ??
Yes google has a answer for your question , while setting the 2-step verification feature google will give about 8 default pins using which you can login when your mobile is lost , so you have to keep those pins in safe place

Advantages :-
1) High security
2)Even some other person knows your password he cannot login into your account .
3)Even if your phone is lost you can login using default pins.

Disadvantages :-
1)Advanced feature which may be confusing for some other novice user's
2)It may irritate you when your text to your mobile is delayed

On the whole it is a good Feature , which requires some knowledge on the security

About ubuntu 11.04

I am a diehard fan of linux distrubution , So this post is  about the latest linux distro ubuntu 11.04

UBUNTU 11.04

Ubuntu 11.04  Natty Narwhal alpha is scheduled to be released on December 2nd. Unsatisfied Maverick users (including me) are expecting new version of ubuntu, as there were no  new interesting interface revisions to boast out with it.Ubuntu 11.04 beta is released and available to download  (Note:Don’t install it on production machine), but you can test in VirtualBox.

Update 1: Natty alpha 2 is released download it from here

New Features

There has been many changes in the Default application selection in the upcoming Ubuntu 11.04 Natty Narwhal from Ubuntu 10.10. Here’s some new features:

- Unity as been confirmed as default for Ubuntu 11.04 – desktop edition, the desktop version will use the global menu (AppMenu).

- LibreOffice will likely be included in next version of Ubuntu if it’s ready

- Firefox 4 is still favored over Chrome as the default browser in Ubuntu. Chrome still poses too many challenges for Ubuntu (the release cycle doesn’t fit well with Ubuntu Update model and also there are issues with the Global Menu integrations and so on).

- The decision to replace Evolution with Thunderbird in Ubuntu has been deferred. Hopefully Thunderbird will be ready in a cycle or two (it misses a calendar, exchange support, integration with appmenu and messaging menu).

- Banshee will be included by default in Ubuntu 11.04 (and thus replace Rhythmbox)

- Oneconf will be included by default in Ubuntu 11.04. OneConf is a mechanism for recording software information in Ubuntu One, and synchronizing with other computers as needed.

- Gnome-dictionary will be removed from the CD

- Nautilus Elementary was also brought up for discussion, but was rejected “because the patches are considered hacks”.

- In Natty Narwhal Software Center “For Purchase” category will be updated with more commercial software. And you will be able to sponsor your favorite app by donating any money amount to developers.

- GTK app Remmina will replace TSClient as the default remote desktop client in Ubuntu 11.

Over all ubuntu 11.04 will be coming out with new look and new feautres ..
